Washington Pavillion

Our next stop in Sioux Falls was the Washington Pavillion. We watched a movie about the Antartic in the Cinedome. The screen was a big white dome shaped thing..kinda like you would see at a golf dome.

After the movie then it was time to explore and make bouncy falls float in the air.

Mommy and Daddy always tell me that I can grow up to be a lot of things when I'm older..maybe I'll be a Astronaut.

On your mark..get-set..GO!! Sorry Daddy, but maybe I'll let you win next time. Happy Birthday Daddy! I love you:)

Butterfly House

Recently we took a family trip to South Dakota. This is in Sioux Falls at a place called the Sertoma Butterfly House. Besides butterflies, they had a cool aquarium area. I really liked all the colorful fish.

and so did Laila.

Here I am getting a close-up look at..

this cute little butterfly.

There were around 1000 butterflies floating around and here are a few having a little snack. Yummy!

Wabasha Caves

While Baba and Dedo were in town we went to check out the Wabasha Street Caves. It was really neat but I didn't take too many pictures.

Besides this scary looking cave there was also a nice dining area with a cool bar. Our tour guide told us lots of stories about the history of the caves. He also said it was haunted.

Ahhhh...Ghost!!

This was our tour guide, his name is John Dillinger. I think Baba really liked him. If you've never been to the Wabasha Caves, then for sure check it out.

Swimming again

I told Baba and Dedo how much fun we had swimming the other day and they said that they wanted to go swimming too..so we went. Laila did really good again.

After doing some laps and getting exercise it was time to have fun and do some jumping.

Dedo kept telling me stories that when he was younger he was always jumping off rocks that were really high above the water. I didn't really believe him, so I told him to use the diving board and show me a special dive that he used to do. Check out the video below to see it.

After jumping with Mommy, Daddy and Dedo it was time to do some solo jumping. Baba didn't jump in because she didn't want to mess up her makeup.

Sweet Jump!!

Laila goes swimming

It was super hot outside so we decided to go swimming indoors. This was Laila's first time in a swimming pool.

At this point I think that she's still getting used to the water temperature which was a lot cooler then it was outside.

She did really good and stayed in the water for about 30 minutes. Good job Laila!

After playing for a little while it was time to swim some laps. I had a life jacket on so I went to the deep end of the pool.

It looks like I'm in some trouble here but I'm not. Mommy was just giving me a little push.

Como Town

The other day I went to Como Town with Mommy, Baba and Laila. We looked at the animals but I was more interested in getting wet. It was hot that day so it was nice to cool off.

After playing in the water and sort of drying off, I got an energy boosting kiss from Baba.

Once my energy level was back up it was time to go on some rides. I grabbed a box of raisins and away I went.

I started to get pretty hungry so Baba bought me some lunch. Thanks Baba!

Laila was kind of mad that she wasn't able to go on rides and play in the water but I told her that next year when she's older that we'll come back and play together.

Baba & Grandpa visit

Baba and Grandpa came to visit us for a few days. We hadn't seen them for 2 months. Baba said that me and Laila changed a lot in that time.

I was just sooo excited that they were here that I put on some music and danced. Grandpa saw how much fun it was and joined me.

After all that dancing it was time to re-fuel with some bread and butter. Check out our dancing moves in the video below.
